How Your Business Can Give Back

For our team at Clutch Management Concepts, giving back is an important part of our company culture, especially when we look around and see so many people in need either due to natural disasters or simply unfortunate situations. We want to give back because it’s the right thing to do and, when we work together as a team, we’re able to really amplify our impact. Here are just a few of the ways we’ve found that businesses can effectively give back:

  • Organize a Donation Drive: If there’s a natural disaster or event such as the holidays to bring people together, let your business be the central coordinating force in collecting donations. Your team will certainly participate. You should also make sure you share on social media that you’re collecting donations for a certain cause. That way, others in your network who want to participate will bring in their donations as well. Your business then takes on the responsibility for getting those donations to the right place.
  • Find a Cause That Resonates With Your Team: When you find a particular cause that your team members really care about, they can often come up with creative ways to make an impact by using the unique knowledge your business has developed. For Clutch Management Concepts, this means leveraging our expertise on consulting and marketing. We like to help different local charity groups get the word out about events and projects.
  • Volunteer as a Team for an Event: When a local nonprofit is putting on an event, they’re often looking for extra hands who will be organized and professional to help them with the event. Volunteering together is a great team-bonding activity. Everyone will leave the event with a smile, knowing they made a difference.

So the next time you feel the urge to give back to your community, turn around and reach out to those you work with every day. Together, come up with a plan to make it happen.
